The 2007 Montagna Symposium program will focus upon epithelial cell-T cell interactions within the context of five commonly encountered cutaneous histopathological reaction patterns:

1) cutaneous T cell lymphoma/cutaneous malignancies,
2) lichenoid tissue reaction/interface dermatitis,
3) psoriasiform inflammation, and
4) atopic/spongiotic dermatitis.

Each of these histopathological patterns will be discussed by a multidisciplinary faculty within the following framework:

clinicopathological features,
animal models,
global and disease-specific molecular mechanisms, and
new concepts for translation of mechanisms into possible treatments.
