For over 50 years since this historic symposium in cutaneous biology and investigative dermatology was founded, over 5,000 scientists, physicians, and students from all over the world have attended the Symposium, profiting from its collaborative format. The research community has also benefited from the publication of the annual meeting proceedings in a supplement to the Journal of Investigative Dermatology. All of this has been made possible through a long-standing grant from the National Institutes of Health and the generous support of our colleagues in research foundations and the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.
