Driving to Salishan

You'll need to allow at least 2 1/2 hours to get from the Portland airport to Salishan. From downtown Portland it may take a little longer. Note that traffic on the freeways can be heavy during commute hours.
  • Exit the airport via the I-205 freeway and take it south, bypassing Portland, towards Oregon City and Salem.

  • At the end of I-205, proceed south on I-5, following signs to Salem.

  • Exit at the Salem Parkway exit (1.5 miles before Salem).

  • Continue on the Salem Parkway (starts out as a highway, then is reduced to a city street for a while) until you see signs for “Ocean Beaches” and Highway 22 west. Go west on Highway 22.
  • Note reduced speed limit.
  • Follow Highway 22 until it merges with Highway 18. Take Highway 18 towards Lincoln City.

  • At the junction of Highway 18 and Highway 101 (the north/south coastal route), go south on Highway 101 all the way through Lincoln City.

  • Salishan Lodge is located three miles beyond the city limits of Lincoln City on the south side of Siletz Bay. There is a big sign on your right and a signal; turn left and go up the hill and then right to the main lodge.
  • You may park in the lot to the right of the lodge while you check in; then you will be directed to parking near your room.

Several alternate routes (that will take longer, traffic is often very heavy on 99W) are shown on the map below (not precisely to scale).
